Do not consent to evil

My son if sinners entice you, do not consent. Prov. 1:10 You will not be hindered When you walk, your steps will not be hindered And when you run, you will not stumble Prov. 4 :12 He guards your path He guards the path of justice and preserves the way of His saints Do not turn your neighbour away Do not say to your neighbour, go and come and back and tomorrow I will give it when you have it with you. Prov. 3:28 Don’t enter the path of the wicked Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil. Avoid it do not travel on it, turn away from it and pass on, for they do not sleep unless they have done evil, and their sleep is taken away unless they make someone fall. Prov.4:14-16 Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your path Do not be wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord and depart from evil It will bring health to your flesh and s

Poverty and slumber

A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep, So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler And your need like an armed man. Prov. 6:10-11 Do not lust after her beauty Do not let lust after her beauty in your heart, Nor let her allure you with her eyelids, For by means of a harlot, A man is reudced to a crust of bread And an adulteress will prey upon his precious life. Prov. 6 :25-26 Be careful of the adulteress woman My son, keep my words, And treasure my commands within you. Keep my commands and live And my law as the apple of your eye. Bind thme on your fingers; Write them on the tablet of your heart. Say to wisdom, your are my sister And call understanding your nearest kin. That they may keep you from the immoral woman, from the seductress who flatters with her words. Prov.7:1-5

Be Blameless

Do all things without murmurings and disputing: that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world. Philippians 2:14-15 Be bold and strong Be bold, be strong for your lord your God is with you wherever you go Joshua 1:9 Endure hardness as a good soldier of Christ Thou therefore endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ 2nd Tim 2:3 As Christians we have been called into a life of victory and glory as well as prosperity.Sometimes, as we walk through our victories we may encounter difficulties. However these difficulties are not meant to destroy us but to make us strong in our faith. The bible says that in all these we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. This means that it does not matter the problems we are going through, we are more than conquerors.Hold onto this truth and work up your faith unto victory.Paul tells us in his letter to Timothy that we shou

Do not be afraid

Do not be afraid of sudden terror, nor trouble from the wicked, nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes For the Lord will be your confidence And will keep your foot from being caughtProv. 3:25-26 The curse of the Lord The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the just. Surely He scorns the scornful but gives grace to the humble. Prov. 3: 33-34 Hard Truths The wise shall inherit glory, but shame shall be the legacy of fools. Prov.3:35

The mercies of the Lord

I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever, with my mouth will I make known your faithfulness to all generations. For I have said, mercy shall be built up forever,Your faithfulness you shall establish in the very heavens.I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn to my servant David,Your seed I will establish forever and build up your throne to all generations.Psalm 89:1-4 The heavens will praise your wonders And the heavens will praise your wonders Oh LordYour faithfulness also in the assembly of the saints. For who in he assembly can be compared to the Lord?Who among the sons of the mighty can be compared to the LordPsalm89:5-6 Lets have time for God's work One reason why the Apostle Paul did not marry was that he wanted to have more time for God's ministry. In 1 Corinthians 7 :33, Paul says in the Good News Version of the bible, "But a married man concerns himself with worldly matters, because he wants to please his wife and so he is pulled in two directions

Putting aside every weight

“Therefore, we also since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us put aside every weight and the sin, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.” Hebrews 12:1 The author and finisher of our faith Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him who endured such hostility, from sinners against Himself lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. Hebrews 12:2-3 Strengthen the feeble hands Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down and the feeble knees, And make straight paths for your feet so that what is lame may not be dislocated but rather be healed. Pursue peace with all people and holiness without which no one will see the Lord. Hebrews 12:12-13 The life of a Christian in the contemporary world is not an easy one. Though

You visit the Earth with your Presence

You visit the earth and water it, you greatly enrich it, and the river of God is full of water: you provide their grain, for so you have prepared it. Psalm 65:9, 11 You crown the earth with your goodness You crown the year with your goodness, and your paths drip with abundance, they drop on the pastures of the wilderness and the little hills rejoice on every side. The pastures are clothed with flocks: The valleys are also covered with grain, they shout for joy they also sing. Psalm 65:11-12 Bless our God Oh bless our God, you peoples! and make the voice of his praise to be heard, whop keeps our soul among the living and does not allow our feet to be moved. Psalm 66:8-9. Last Sunday , Ghana's President John Kufuor went Church (Catholic) to thank God for his life after an accident on November 14, 2007. The President has been joined by both his friends and opponents who saw his survival as a sign of God's redemption. Indeed, Ghanaians have realized the mighty hand of God in their

Show a gentle attitude

Show a gentle attitude towards every one the lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything, but in all your prayers, ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart and God’s peace which is far beyond human understanding will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus. Philippians 4 :5-7 Remain in Him If you remain in me and my words remain in you, then you will ask for anything you wish and you shall have it. John 15:7 It pays to be gentle As Christians we must learn to be gentle and live at peace with all men and women in spite of how difficult they may be. Working in a group or team brings to the fore, the different shades of opinion, character and temperaments. There are some people who are very difficult to work with, be with or live with. These are the people we must learn to love and intercede for. Fervent prayers will make it easier for us to tolerate them and also if they do not Christ, our prayers can draw them closer to the saving knowled

Seven things the Lord hates

There are seven things the Lord hates and cannot tolerate. A proud look, A lying tongue Hands that kill innocent people A mind that thinks up wicked plans Feet that hurry off to do evil A witness who tells one lie after another And someone who stirs up trouble among friends. Prov.6 20. Good News Bible. The Lord hates the Scornful Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the way of sinners nor sitteth on the seat of the scornful, but his delight is in the law of the lord and on his law he meditates day and night. Psalm 1 :1 &2.Psalm 1:3 The Lord cares for those who obey his word. It was the great writer Solomon who observed that, the Lord hates certain attitudes and behaviours which are sometimes common among human beings. Tellings lies, back biting and undermining all fallen within these behaviours. It is therefore important for us as christians we to put aside all these and focus our atttention on pleasing our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

He has chosen you

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you and ordained you, that you should go and bring fourth fruit, that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the father in my name, He may give it to you. John 15 :16 You will bear good fruit They are like trees that grow beside the stream that bear fruit at the right time and whose leaves do not dry up. Psalm 1:3 Our fruit will be obvious Bearing fruit or impacting positively on our generation is one of the key promises in the bible for the children of God. We have all been chosen by God, As John puts it, one of the purposes for our call is for us to bear fruits that will remain. That means we will win souls who will remain in the Lord, we will become prosperous and remain proesperous and healthy. we will do wonders so long as we stay in the arms of Jesus. Today, if the leaves are drying up in your life, you can rely on God's true son Jesus Chirst to bring a refreshing into your life and plant you beside the pools where y

He protects His own

The Lord Jesus knows His children and he protects them all the time. Let us continue to worship him and give Him all our thanks. This week, I want us to reflect on Psalm 23. This psalm is one of the wonderful hymns David wrote in his lifetime. Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd I have everything I need He lets me rest in fields of green pasturesand leads me to quite pools of fresh water He gives me new strength He guides me in the right pathsas he has promised Even if I go through the deepest darkness, I will not be afraid Lord for you are with me Your Shepherd's rod and staff protect me You prepare a banquet for me Where all my enemies can see me You welcome me as an honoured guest and fill my cup to the brim I know that your goodness and love will be with me all my life And your house will be my home all my life. I look up to you Lord

Another Sunday is here and I wish to share with you this wonderful song and prayer in Psalm 123. If this is your prayer today too, may God quickly answer you. Psalm 123 “Lord, I look up to you, up to heaven, where you rule. As a servant depends on his master, As a maid depends on her mistress So we will keep looking to you Oh Lord our God Until you have mercy on us. Be merciful to us, Lord be merciful We have been treated with so much contempt We have been mocked too long by the rich And scorned by proud oppressors.”
